![]() ![]() The width of the seats are very, very narrow so we could not avoid sitting on a seat belt buckle on one or both sides of our legs depending on the seat you were in. But, if you're travelling with a group of adults as opposed to a group of kids, you may want to find a more comfortable vehicle. There was plenty of storage space for our bags behind the last row of seats. Our group of 10 adults rented a full-size van. We were also supposed to receive a AAA discount which wasn't applied (they had to re-ring our rental for some reason), but once we received the charge card bill, we called Thrifty and a credit was applied to our charge card. The staff was nice, but there wasn't enough of them for the demand, and they had to know how many customers were picking up vehicles that morning or any morning. Once we waited about an hour plus in line, it took another 45 minutes to an hour to be given our van. Uncertain whether all of the flights arrived at SLC at the same time, but there was a huge line for the Thrifty counter. Then they give no rebate for the car they refuse to let you take. But they have an employee who requires you to get a more expensive car. ![]() There is no mention on the website that you cannot rent a regular car. In retrospect it feels like a bait and switch operation. There were plenty of other rental cars that were not 4 wheel drive up there. ![]() By the way, there was no snow when we arrived, there never was any snow while we were there, and the car lived in a covered garage. It was a hidden button under a rear light cover. Well what do you say when you are tired and he is practically yelling at you? So now our week rental has cost over $800, the car was dirty and we had to read the car manual to figure out how to open the back. For a mere $80 extra per day, over what we had already paid for the car, we could take a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The Thrifty employee REFUSED to let us take the car we had reserved up to the mountain. It was a slow process in front of us as the 2 in front of us were apparently struggling with picking a car. We arrived to pick up a prepaid auto to drive ourselves up to the ski resort at Canyons/Park City. ![]()
